6239: This is perhaps one of the rarest Cosmograph variants to have surfaced. It is unique for its exceptionally low serial number (Under 1 million), rare dial and early caseback. This is a fantastic piece that would be an integral part of any serious Daytona collection. A similar piece was sold by Christies in its November 2008 auction.
CASE
Case is in excellent original condition. No major dings or scratches. Bezel is original early version with very small graduations. It is missing some paint but is in excellent shape. Original 6238 caseback is also in excellent shape.
DIAL
Very rare dial with "double SWISS" and underline under COSMOGRAPH and subdials that have turned a tropical dark brown color. Dial is in near mint condition, with minor wear which is barely visible when the dial is on the watch. Luminous marker at 3 is damaged slightly, but all others are intact.
BRACELET
Comes on a rivited bracelet (later), which is expandable and comes with 13 links. There is little to no stretch.
