Ref. 1016: A really great example of a gilt dial 1016 with underline, this watch is stunning. A textbook example, the caseback and the bracelet are dated 1963, which is the time Rolex was transitioning between radium and tritium, hence the underline designation.

CASE

Case is in very good to excellent condition. There is surface wear and some small nicks visible, likely due to careless use of a caseback opener. (On top of lugs) This can be remedied with a good polish at the buyer's discretion. Numbers between both lugs are clean and visible.

DIAL

Gorgeous original underline gilt dial in excellent condition. Very glossy with no signs of surface wear or hand drag. Really beautiful. Luminous color of hands and dial match, and tritium glows slightly when activated with a light source.

BRACELET

Comes on an original swiss jubilee band dated 1/63. It has 55 end pieces, and exhibits little to no stretch. Band is a bit on the shorter side, will fit a small to medium wrist. There are 11 links on one side, and 7 on the other.
