14270: This is a great textbook example of a 14720 Explorer "Black Out". Made for a very short period of time, it is perhaps one of the more interesting early sapphire crystal sports watches. A complete set that would be great for any collector.

CASE

Case in excellent condition with thick lugs and clean crisp edges. Minor surface wear but no major dings or scratches.

DIAL

Original tritium "Black out" dial with original tritium hands. Applied numbers are filled with black lacquer as opposed to the usual white. Text on the dial is also printed in silver print, unlike the later and much more common white print.

BRACELET

Comes on a 78360 solid oyster bracelet with 580 end pieces. Little to no stretch on the band.
