Ref. 1680: The red Submariner was the first date Submariner made by Rolex. Introduced in the late 1960's, it was in production until the mid 1970's when the dial was replaced by an all white text version. This nice example has been recently serviced and detailed, and it is ready to be enjoyed.

CASE

Case has been detailed and features sharp chamfers and clean edges. Numbers between the lugs are clean and visible, and there are no major dings or scratches anywhere. Original twin lock crown is still present.

DIAL

Original tritium "open 6" red Submariner dial in excellent condition. Luminous is light cream, and hands match perfectly. Bezel insert has some light surface wear as shown. Original tritium hands match dial. There is a very narrow hairline crack in the minute luminous. It is very hard to see with the naked eye.

BRACELET

Watch comes on a USA C+I riveted oyster band with 10 links. It is tight and there is minimal stretch.
