5510: This is a great example of a gilt 5510. The deep rich texture of the dial, combined with the vibrantly colored bezel insert make for a very desirable and attractive combination. Made for only one year, all 5510s are found within a very small serial number range. It is said that this is the lowest production reference Submariner ever made.

CASE

Original case with beveled lugs in excellent condition. Lugs are full and no pitting can be found. Serial and ref. numbers are both visible between the lugs. Original "red triangle" bezel insert is in excellent shape with luminous pearl still intact and only small scratches on the surface. Crown has a small dimple on the bottom that is cosmetic only, and does not affect the function of the crown.

DIAL

Original gilt "Swiss" dial is in very good condition. As shown in the photographs there is some crazing on the dial, but when viewed at most angles it is very difficult to see. Dial has a very rich glossy texture with rich gilt printing. Hands are tritium with some darkening to the minute hand.

BRACELET
